The latest Morningstar KiwiSaver Survey is out, and as always, it's a fascinating glimpse into New Zealand's KiwiSaver fund performance. Below are the top-performing funds in the conservative, balanced, growth, and aggressive categories over 1, 3, and 10-year periods.

Conservative

  • 1 year: Fisher Funds, 9.6%
  • 3 year: Milford, 3.8%
  • 10 year: Milford, 5.8%

Balanced

  • 1 year: QuayStreet, 16%
  • 3 year: QuayStreet, 6.7%
  • 10 year: Milford, 8.8%

Growth

  • 1 year: Generate, 20.3% 
  • 3 year: QuayStreet, 9.6%
  • 10 year: Milford, 10.4

Aggressive

  • 1 year: Generate 25.4%
  • 3 year: Milford, 8.6%
  • 10 year: Generate 10.5%

QuayStreet continues to perform well across various time periods in the conservative and balanced categories. Milford has maintained consistently high performance in the balanced and growth categories over the long term. Generate is delivering strong numbers across multiple periods. In summary, quality non-bank providers continue to outperform all bank KiwiSaver providers.
