After a decade of working as a registered electrician and communications technician in New Zealand and Australia, Gareth decided it was time for a career change. With his outgoing nature, he wanted to work in a dynamic industry where he could help New Zealanders. After completing his financial services qualification, Gareth founded Finsol in 2010 and hasn’t looked back.
With his previous work experience, Gareth understands the challenges faced by trades business owners. He is devoted to helping his clients create long-term security and financial freedom.
Gareth is an ocean lover and keen surfer. When he’s not advising or assisting with claims, he’s searching the east coast for the best waves.

A self-professed number lover, Paul holds a Massey University degree majoring in Finance and Economics. After three years’ experience in lending, investments, and insurance, Paul joined Finsol and now heads our Home Loan team.
As well as his expertise with lending, Paul also enjoys helping his clients with their cash flow and money management and has plenty of sage budgeting advice up his sleeve.
In his spare time, Paul leads an active lifestyle and enjoys getting outdoors and exploring the beautiful Hawke’s Bay.
I’ve always been into numbers, finance, and investments, both in my personal and professional life. With my role, I am lucky to be able to use my love of numbers to help people.
Jordan recently joined the Finsol team after six years in Australia, where he worked in construction before making the switch to the financial services sector after completing his Australian financial services qualification. With a strong belief that getting to know people is the key to offering the best advice, Jordan fits perfectly into the client-centric culture of Finsol.
In his spare time, Jordan heads into the backcountry as often as possible to maintain a sound body and mind. He is also a diehard All Blacks fan who loves to surf.
The key to financial freedom and security is to start with small manageable steps to set you on the path to achieving something much larger. I love guiding clients as we develop their skills to allow them to reach their goals.
Hayley began her financial services career in 2011 working at ASB (and later at Sovereign) and became part of team Finsol in 2015. With her straightforward approach to insurance alongside her extensive background in the industry, Hayley’s experience is an asset to the Finsol group.
Hayley enjoys staying fit, healthy and motivated by attending the gym and taking part in national fitness competitions.
The most rewarding experience I’ve had so far at Finsol was getting a child cancer claim paid after the family were told they weren’t entitled to anything. It’s amazing being able to make a real difference in people’s lives.
A qualified accountant and experienced logistics manager, Marie has an analytical mind and a focus on getting results for her clients.
Before joining Finsol in 2018, Marie worked as an accountant and in the tourism industry in New Zealand and had an extensive career working as a supply chain manager for various corporates in the Philippines.
Marie specialises in helping the Filipino community in New Zealand with insurance and KiwiSaver. In her spare time, she loves to play the piano and is involved with her local church.

With over twenty years of administration experience, Anne joined Finsol in 2017 as the client relationship manager. Anne assists the adviser team in caring for Finsol clients and getting claims paid.
In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her two young daughters and enjoys travelling and live music.

After a career in the beauty industry, Steph embarked on a career in marketing and joined Finsol in 2016 as the marketing manager.
Steph is an accomplished copywriter and works behind the scenes on marketing and brand direction for Finsol. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, and explore the vibrant food and wine scene in beautiful Hawke’s Bay.
