Since I was in my teens, I’ve studied accounting: in Sri Lanka, we pick our major at 16. I had my first taste in the sales industry while attending Massey University, Majoring in Accounting, which led to an exciting sales career in 2011 with many years in the ventilation and heat pump industry.
After taking some time out to have my two beautiful children, I returned to the workforce as adviser support and then studied to become a financial adviser at Finsol. My husband is self-employed, so we had first-hand experience of how difficult it can be for sole traders and small-medium business owners to get a mortgage application approved. This experience stayed with me and has been pivotal in how I choose to work with my clients.
When I’m not working, I spend a lot of time with my family; we love getting out and enjoying bush walks, beaches, and everything nature has to offer. We’re also fond of a weekend getaway.
